Actually, as a travel agents daughter, I know that they tell you to put the oxygen mask on yourself, before helping anyone else. I find that caca though, and if my daughter was on a plane with me and that happend, she'd most likely be the first to get oxygen.

Ur supposed to give urself oxygen first so u can help the others ur with. What use are u to the baby if u can't breathe?

Yes, in the video they show you before you take off, it specifically states to always put the mask on yourself first, and then help with other people. I would think that out of natural, human instict, anyone who loves their baby more than anything in the world would get thier baby first.

That question is common sense, a child has common sense on the same level that people our age do, they just don't use it properly.

I think you need to worry about yourself instead of other people, because no matter what you say if a child wants a kid they're gonna have one regardless what people on the internet have to say. They'll end up having one & have to learn for themselves, so quit waisting your time and everyone quit posting stupid posts like this.

Its only stupid to people that got knocked up themselves. Yes you may be right;if they want a child bad enough, they will have one. You are wrong though, someone with really good advice except for yours dalicialynn may actually get through to some of these girls and guys. If they didn't want help they wanted be asking for it.

I think a better way to explain it would be that a baby is not a puppy. It's not about feeding it, walking it, and cleaning up it's piddle. This is for 18 long, long years. I admit i've wanted a baby since I was 13, but I also have the common sense to know that i'm not ready for one. For all those people out there who are like, "get a doll", shut up already! It's not the same thing, the better suggestion would be to get a babysitting job.

Oatmealfairy, you think it ends when their 18? It doesn't, kids are forever and when I say forever I mean forever. My sister is 19 & I have a brother who is 21, you think just because they are over 18 they just leave & part from their parents? Think again lol. I'm only 17 and am the only one so far to start my own life.

A person who comes on here who is 11 & 12 saying how much they want a baby just needs their ass beat, that's all there is to it. Young girls are so retarded these days, all they need is a good beating to knock some sense into their little heads.

the hard part, being responsible for the child's well-being. After they're 18, if you don't like them, you can kick their butts out. But you don't have to give up your dreams and money for them after that. I don't doubt that it continues after 18 years, but most of the reasons that teenagers have for not wanting a baby, are usually gone by the time the kid turns 18.

You don't have to give up your dreams before they're 18 either, everyone thinks that just because you have a baby means you have to give up school & what you wanna make out of life but it's not true.

But generally, if a girl dreams of being a world famous dancer. She's not going to get there by being pregnant. Like right now I think my sister is planning to go off to cali for college and do whatever she wants. Those are her "dreams". But if she keeps this baby, she'll probably have to stay nearby for support and won't be able to do whatever she wants.

The only way she won't be able to do anything she wants is because people telling her she can't is getting bashed into her head over & over again, a lot of girls get an abortion just for the fact that it's a myth young girls who have babies make nothing out of themselves.

I was a model before I got pregnant, that was my dream, everyone told me I wouldnt be able to do it anymore because i'd be fat. I'm 5 months pregnant now & am doing commercial pregnancy photography.

You can still have your dream, but experience more out of it. All you have to do is set your mind to it & do what you think is best, and not what everyone else thinks.

But then again i'm not a child. I don't count on my parents when its my responsibility, which is what a child usually does. I live on my own, I have a car, a job & go to school everyday.

Because I know I can do it. I don't need anyone else to tell me differently.

I actually have to agree with dalicialynn. Just because you have a baby doesn't mean you have to give up all your dreams. You just have to compromise a little bit. After you have your child it becomes your number 1 priority, but continuing on with your life will not only benefit you but your child as well. I had a friend who got pregnant at 16 and everyone told her that she'd have to rearrange her life and put off going to university because of the baby, but because she knew she could do it she did. She graduated from highschool on time, moved away from home to go to uni and worked all while taking care of her child. She now has a very promising future in a career she loves and she did it all while people where telling her it wasn't possible. She just had to find ways that fit her new life, like the uni she went to had a daycare program so she could attend all her classes and not have to worry about babysitters.

It's not impossible to have a life when you have a baby, it's just a little harder than it would have been if it had only been you.
