Just found out that I had an abnormal pap smear. I know that they can happen frequently and usually the results are really nothing to worry about. My concern is that I have been on the depo shot for approx 4-5 years with my last shot in july '04. Besides the fertility issues I am having at the moment, I was just curious if there was anyone out there who had a similar experience with an abnormal pap with depo. I am a little upset because I don't know what could happen. I've been reading lots of stuff online and the most frightening is that if this turns out to be cervical cancer, then I would need a hysterectomy and my hopes of having a child of my own will be gone.
