Q: Switching From Patch to Pill

I've been on the patch for a while now, but lately it's been causing me some nausea. My first patch is the sunday start.

So today, mon., I went to the clinic to switch to the pills. They gave me 3 months worth of lutera.

One problem that I have, is that i'm only on the second patch, and I seemed to have misplaced my 3rd patch.

The clinic suggested that I take off my patch today, and take the first pill. They said that the week I will get my period will be pushed back another week.

My questions are::
is that really possible? To have my period pushed back a whole week
&
is sunday the start of my pill cycle? Or is it monday?

Please, any help will be much appreciated.

I recently switched from the patch to the pill in the middle of my cycle. I started taking the pill as soon as I took the patch off. I had a little bit of spotting, but no other problems. You will most likely get your next period during the week you're taking the inactive pills, but if your cycle is a little off, it should adjust after your next pack of pills. Your start day should be whenever you take the first pill, regardless of what your patch start day was. So if your patch start day was sunday and you took your first pill monday, then monday should be your new start day. Good luck, I hope this helps!
