Ok, I have had anxiety and panic attack for over eight years,,, I have had every symtoms I think there is,,,, but lately I have been doing something different and need to know if it anxiety or something eles.
Ok I started about three months ago, when I get hungry, I would get this feeling in my head like a pressure, like light headed also,, I will shake, get sick to my stomach, dry mouth, and if I don't eat, I will freak out,,, I also get very cranky,
i thought it was my sugar dropping but I bought one of these test things, and my sugar is fine... It is never low,, even if I haven't eaten all day,,
i have been eaten every three hours, but its driving me crazy because I throw up a lot, and have to force my self to eat,,,
does anybody eles do this,, and how can I stop freaking out about it,,,,

Hi, first of all I had the symptom of head pressure and dizziness a few months ago and it was diagnosed as anxiety. I would recommend keeping a diary (if you have not already done so) of your symptoms and consult your doctor with it to seek a diagnosis. This could all be part of your anxiety but I would definately get a professional opinion.

Hope this helps,

james

I Have the Same Symptoms!
Hi there

i just thought i`d send you a message because I have what you are experiencing and can I just say that just because you blood sugar seems ok it doesn`t mean it is.

If I don`t eat on a regular basis, I get serious sickness, I get a throbbing headache, dizziness, drained of energy and I actually start shaking quite violently. At first I thought there was something wrong but it is really just to do with what I eat and when I eat.

I went to a homeopathic doctor who told me to eat regularly and eat lots of fruit and veg, nuts, protein, all the good for you foods. I was told to avoid caffine, mint and sweets. Just your usual junk food to avoid.

I eat regularly as I have a habit of fainting if I don`t eat also! I carry around little packs of raisins in my bad, not exactly hunger stopping but it gets me through until I can get something more substantial.

Ask a professional like your doctor or get referred to someone who knows more and remember doctors usually go by set tests, just because it doesn`t show up your blood sugar could still be relatively low for your body!

Good luck
debs

Well pinksalter gave some good advice.

Anxiety attacks are caused by excess adrenaline production usually due to some internal biochemical abnormality.

Most people seem to think that it is caused by irrational thought process, but it is rather the case that an abnormal biochemistry can cause abnormal psychological experiences, such as unexplainable fears. In fact the nutritional treatment is rather simple and effective.

Well I think its just anxiety because I can set for like 10 min and breath and it will go away,,, I think if I had a problem with my sugar then it wouldn't go away that fast,, and it also happens when I eat,,
i have taken my sugar every hour for like five hours and there wasn't that much of a change,,,,,,,
and I shake all the time,, and have a pulse in my arms all the time,,, so if it was my sugar,,, I dont think it would always be like this,,,,, but I am going to ask my doc , for a test,,, but I really dont think its my sugar,, just when I have the attack then I think it is,,, but that is the only time,,
I dont crave foods, not starches or sweets,,,
I know people who has low blood sugar and they dont suffer like I do,,,,i know people that passes out,, and they are living normal lives,, so I think this is just anxiety , and I have also know people that has had that test and came back fine and still have theses symtoms,,,,, so I am just unsure what to believed,,,,, but I will get the test from the doc,,,,
thanks,,

Jurplesman, not everybody is hypoglycemic, this is an anxiety forum, so please stop advertising...

Louane, I agree with you that it is anxiety and saying yourself that it is is a start, even so, its best still to get a doctors opinion.

Hope all goes well,

james

The first hurdle to overcome in the treatment of anxiety attacks is the myth, that all anxiety attacks are caused by mental processes. So long you keep on believing that you will be suffering from these dreadful adrenergic reactions.

Please discuss with a therapist.
