Q: Spotting For 8 Days

I was going on vacation and didn't want my period, so I just skipped it...Started a new pack instead of the placebos.

Well, since last thursday I have been spotting...Nothing too bad, but it's not the darkred/brown blood, it's red. I have been on the pill for a while, but this is the first time I skipped my period. Is this supposed to happen?
