Why Do My Sleep Paralysis Episodes Always Begin Like This???
Posted: 10-20-05 22:00pm

:x . First of all let me give you a little background about my sleep paralysis. I started experiencing sleep paralysis for the the past year or so. It only ever happens if I am sleeping on my back, but I have come to realize that 99% of the time if I do decide to sleep on my back , I will almost always have an episode. Sadly I can't really sleep on my back anymore because of this and yes thats like my favorite position. Anyways this is kind of frightening but my sleep paralysis episodes usually always begin the same way. Now I always seem to think this part is really happening and i'm not sleeping but it starts with me in my bathroom, just finished peeing or something, than i'm by the sink looking in the mirror or getting something from the drawer, im about to exit my bathroom (which by the way looks 100% detail and all like it does in actuality) . As I go to turn the knob on the bathroom door, suddenly another door appears behind that one. Only this door is a wooden one.( and that is when the fear kicks in and I realize that I am not even really in my bathroom but im on my bed about to experience another episode). Anyway after I turn the knob to the second door (which is the wooden one that doesnt really exist) I always than enter my bedroom, and there on the bed I am paralized , being choked, and what not. I have awakened many times during sleep paralysis only to experience what is called " a false awakening" sort of means that you awake during your dream but you only awake into another dream. Well anyways, another interesting thing is that I have trained myself very well to be aware during sleep paralysis. And a couple days ago, when I had an episode which once again started in the bathroom, than the wooden door appeared, this time instead of walking in the bedroom like I usually wood. I went down the stairs into my living room. Unfortuantely I still got choked and what not but it took place in the living room ( even though i'm obviousley really on my bed). Yesterdays episode was the scareiest. I ended up in the living room once again, but I started floating in the air, and I was being spun out of control in circles by some super force that would not let go of me! I think its all sort of interesting . Scary , weird, but very interesting :!: :!: :!:
