Anyway, I recommend that anyone suffering from depression or mood swings try 5-htp. Excellent suggestion on the 5-htp my friend. I have recently become a firm believer in boosting ones own natural neurotransmitters as opposed to going the pharmacological way with ssri's and mao inhibiters. The latter two only mask the symptoms by blocking reuptake. Also it fools the brain into thinking there is to much serotonin so once off the ssri's and mao's the brain crashes do to lack of serotonin production. I'm all for increasing natural production with 5-htp. Thanks for the thread. :)
