Q: Severe Anger During Pregnancy?

This morning my cousin who lives with me was pms'ing I guess and we got into an argument. It always seems like she is trying to tell me tha negative side of things and I usually get pissed off and it starts and argument well today I couldn't get my mom to take me to my doctors and started crying -- thanks to my hormones :\ -- my cousin made a smart remark about how it was my fault that im in this situation and she wouldn't help me either. Things got really heated and I felt this rush of complete anger & before I could even blink I took what was in my hand (the phone) and threw it across the room the phone shattered into like 10 pieces, there were wires and plastic everywhere. Then she told me to grow up and I took the chair and threw it against the wall and threw the remote control out the window, slammed the door the room (mine) looked like a mad man destroyed it and now I feel guilty. Although it made me feel better at the time, I have never acted like that before and im worried.....Has anyone experieced this or know whats going on with me lol

Well ive never heard of that nor have I experienced it, but I think you owe an apology to your mom. Not only did you yell at her, but you trashed her things. Its not your home to trash. You need to control your anger and walk away from things that will set off your short fuse. If you want to hit things, hit a pillow. For now I suggest you fix the things you broke and offer to either pay for it or work it off. Concentrate on making things better, not making it worse. You keep it up and your mom wont take you anywhere you ask. Why should she with the was you are acting? Im sorry but if you were my kid and you did that, id smack you. You should respect your mom more, and depend on other rides. Because you are in this mess not her and if your mom wont take you, you need a backup plan. Like a cab or a bus. Im sorry to be hard on you, but your temper is way out of hand.

Not to Be Mean But....
How could u say that? I said in my post that it was my cousin who was home, not my mom. And it was my phone that was broken and the dent was in my wall, in a small area. Maybe I made it seem worse then it was but we live in a small area (a 2 bedroom apt.) so it wasn't that bad. I asked for help with my anger not for someone to criticize it. I have never acted like that before and I didn't take it out on my mom. I think you took it too seriously.

Ohh im sorry, I saw you mentioned your mom so I took it you yelled at her, threw a phone, and a chair. I apologize for that. Well maybe you should ignore your cousin. Even though you were upset, you should have walked away, not throw a phone. Maybe you can call your doctor and see what you can do. I dont think there is much because your hormones are acting crazy but who knows. Im sorry I read your thing wrong.

That`s Ok
I used to be on zoloft. I was so used to being happy and now I can't take it so I think my body is also trying to adjust to that as well. Are there any anti depressants that you can take while pregnant?

You really need to consult with your doc on that one. Because anything you take, your baby takes too. And most things do not reccomend you take it while being pregnant. But you can call and ask them or what for your next appointment with questions. Write down all your questions now, then read them off to your doc so you wont forget anything ok.

Omg!
Such a big relief thanks for telling me that darling. I stopped taking it because my mom told me it was probaby not a good idea to continue it. I wish I would have asked my doc. First I could really use it right now! I am gonna call him tomorrow and double check and if he says yea then i'm definetly getting back on!

I started about 4 years ago on 25 and they have bumped it up ever since. And it's amazing but still doesnt work as well as they hoped. My therapist would like to switch meds but I dont think thats a good idea! Last time I tried to go off of it I went into a deep depression!
