Q: Bump Under Skin On Posterior

I have this bump just above the hole on my posterior. It's sometimes is painful and sometimes I forget it's there. If I put my finger on it, I can move it under the skin a little bit.

Could this be from wearing thongs? I try to wear regular underwear to bed and on weekends when i'm not going anywhere special. What else could it be? I have had this for quite a while, at least a year.

Thanks.

I don't think a thong would cause something like that ... I mean, women wear them all the time with no problems.

Maybe you have a cyst? Is it hard but still able to move under the skin? You should probably go to your dr and get it checked out - just so certain things can be eliminated :-)

good luck!

I have a physical coming up in january...I will have to get over my fear and embarrassment of asking her about it and just do it!

Thanks.
