Both Partners Infected (hsv1) Can It Still Be Transmitted? Posted: 10-18-05 19:25pm
If both partners in a relationship are
both infected with hsv1, can they still
pass it back and forth to each other?
Lets say... They have both gone through
their innitial outbreak, and are doing
fine. The female partner has another
outbreak 6 months later, but the lesions
are internal and not visible. Could she
cause her male partner to have another
outbreak if they have un-protected sex?
Somebody told me that once both partners
have been infected, the only thing that
can cause them to get another outbreak is
if they were going to have another one
naturally, but you can not re-infect each
other. I need to know if this is true,
anybody have any insight?
Thanks

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it. I can't
seem to find the answer to this question
anywhere, the only thing most people have
been able to tell me is they think so....

Hsv1 is herpes symplex 1. (cold sores in
the mouth) can also be passed on to the
genitals through oral sex

answer is yes.

Thanks for the help. I'm surprised that
there isn't really any conclusive answers
about this around...
