Hi, twitchygurl;
if either of us discovers an answer, we should share it with the other. I have much the same in my left side. The muscle twitches in my neck often lead to severe headache. My arm, though...Oh, man, that drives me crazy. I spent easily 20-35 minutes (i give up tracking length of time anymore, but it was long enough to drive to town for a soda and back again) with my left arm just shaking for no apparent reason tonight. Usually, I will shake like that when I have pure muscle exhaustion. (i tend to work myself until I literally cannot even lift a fork to eat.) but the only thing I did tonight was give the cat a flea bath. I had to switch my soda to my right hand while waiting in the checkout line because 1, I was afraid I would drop it, and 2, I hate it when people start asking questions.
The neck twitch is likely associated at least partially to stress. It's like a tick. When there is a small trigger, you'll have a small reaction. With a big trigger, it will be repetitive. I'm not keen on my doctor performing a million more tests on me, so I haven't said anything about the muscle shaking I get. I know I should, though. My family has a history of both ms and md.
Start keeping a log of events and reactions--pretty much like a journal. You'll likely surprise yourself and discover the trigger on your own. But you have to treat it as a "done" list, not a "to do" list. Even if you can't figure it out, having that information will help any doctor to determine the course of testing/treatment to take.
