How Can I Open Up to Him? Posted: 10-18-05 08:51am
Me and my boyfriend have been together for
over 4 years. He isn't shy to do
anything around me but I have a problem
doing stuff around him. He likes to
dance and sing and I do, too ... I just
can't around him. Okay, "can't" is
probably the wrong word. I just have a
hard time doing it in front of him. It's
like I "can't" talk myself into doing it
because of what he may think.
I would really like to not have anything
holding me back from dancing/singing in
front of him. Does anybody have any
advice or suggestions that can help me be
more open in front of him. Anything
would be greatly appreciated :-)

Well, maybe if you like to sing and dance.
Maybe you two should hit a karaoke bar
and have a few drinks. It'll give you a
chance to just chill out, or have a song
and a go at it, and 2) backup: blame it on
the alcohol later.
Karaoke's always fun, just grab a booth
(if you're scared to do it in public) and
if not, you can always just borrow a dvd
from some video store with like karaoke
discs somewhere. (they must have it
somewhere in town).
Nothing wrong with dancing either. Just
dance. Whether it's alone or together.
Go to a club sometime. Maybe just let him
teach you how to (even if you already
know), makes him maybe feel as though his
"good-dancer"-ness coming out and he is
teaching you in the process.
Break the ice a bit.
