Hi, i'm not yet pregnant, but my hubby and I are working on getting a nice home for our family. In the meantime we've been playing with names...

Malia lorianna (malia means beautiful young girl) lorianna is a mix of our mothers' names.

Jolane nicole (jolane is my hubbys grandmother's name and nicole is another close family member)

ty turner

jordan nathanial

ian nathanial

other boy names we've liked are malachi and ethan.

I like that first girl's name. Very pretty :)
i do that with names too...I picked out names like

charles (charlie) william -- william is my bf's dad and brother's names...
Owen garret -- my dad's name is garry which is a form of garret

lillian (lily) may rosa -- may is my grandmother and rosa as a form of rose (my mother)
claire marion -- marion is my bf's mom's name.... So as u can see all the middle names are those that have to do with family. And all the first names, well I just love them. So that's why I picked them.

I'm glad somebody likes the names...Lol I figure most people aren't replying because i'm not pregnant yet.

We are planning on ttc in about a year, maybe a little less. We want to have a home ready and "baby proof/safe" and be set financially, and I want to make sure my body is healthy and ready for a baby too. I've been talking with my doctor and asking him how to prepare. I just want to give our baby the very best. So in the meantime we are picking out names and deciding how we want to do the nursery. It's fun and good for planning. I've been coming to this website to get advice and learn about what other ladies are going through during pregnancy so that I know what to expect or what to do in certain situations.

I like your names too. :)

Thanks :) and I know what u mean. My bf and I have talked about it and we know that we both want kids, but we want to be finacially set first. So we've been talking about when we're ready for kids, we'll sit down and figure out everything we have to do to get ready. We're still young so we still have time (i'm 19 and he's 23) so we're not really in a hurry right now to have kids. My degree program will be done in 4 years hopefully and his should be done next year then he's gonna set up his own business,.... So... Hopefully if everything goes as planned we will probably have kids in a few years. I wouldn't mind doing it while i'm still going to school as long as someone I know and trust could do daycare (my mom's friend has a day care place) and i'd be taking the first 6-9 months off anyways. So yeah.... That's what we've been talking about. It's always good to plan right?

Yea same deal with me...

We are ready for the kids, emotionally and physically. We just want to have a better home. It's not bad where we are now, but we want to have the whole stressful move taken care of and adjustment before we bring a little person in the picture. I'm 21 and he's 27 so we are ready pretty much, just a few minor adjustments...Lol i'll need someone to watch the baby too while I work...Right now i'm on days and he's on midnights and sleeps during the day. I could bring the baby with me to work and put up a playpen in my office, but I want my baby to be able to have fun and play, so i'll probably take her to my mom's, which is close and it would only be 3 days a week, because my hubby can do thursdays and fridays. So the baby will just have alot of cuddle time with grandma till we are financially set enough so I can go part time or quit all together.

I would love to be able to stay home and take care of my baby but I know i'd have to work some too. Jay (my bf)'s mom would probably be the one taking care of the baby while I was at work. She loves kids. Used to do daycare when jay was younger... So that would probably be what we'd do. But like I said, i'd love to be the one at home with the babies... That's my goal after a while. Work is good but being a mom would be the best thing for me. Lol jay already says I baby him sometimes and it's so true. Lol I do. I was at his place the other day and we were talking and I noticed that some of his clothes were kinda thrown on his bed, from when he was looking for something and I just folded them while we were talking lol I dunno why.... He says i'll be a great mom and when I asked why he thinks that, he goes, well look how well u take care of me :) lol

Thank you. I've always liked the name jordan. Our first son's name will be ty. But we picked a couple in case we have 2 babies or would get lucky enough to have twins. :)

turner (the middle name) I actually don't like a whole ton, but it's a name carried on down the generations in our family of someone that meant alot to my dad's side of the family, so I know it would mean the world to them to have his middle name be that. I don't know though, that could change.

when I first met my jay, I called him jason, but slowly I started calling him jay... Everyone I know of his friends and his family calls him jay. I only call him jason when i'm mad at him lol or when i'm trying to get my point across lol seems to work well :)

Same here, he hates his name because he said no baby or little kid can pronounce it, jeremiah. There's too many syllables. :) haha. So I call him jj or babe. And jeremiah when he's in trouble or I need his attention. I'm the same way, my name's really chrystal and I go by cj or chrissy.
