I think its a good idea especially if your sexually active. I'm definitely thinking about going on bc once I have my baby. And since I barely remember to take my vitamins everyday and since i've heard some pretty crazy things about getting the needle i'll probably go on the patch. I wasn't ready to get pregnant this first time (although I am excited about it now)i'm just not going to take the chance on the second time.

The patch, is very convenient, despite some people have trouble keeping it on. But you should research your options, and don't be completely set on a certain type. Sometimes you might think one way will be the best, but then you have adverse side-effects.

But birth control is a very good idea. My mother offered it to my little sister last year and kept mentioning it every month or so. My sister kept refusing it (out of pride) and she is now 6 weeks pregnant. Apparently "the boy" (which is what we're calling him in our house because he is most definately not a man!) was too proud for contraceptives as well.
