Q: Probability of Twins?

I hope this isn't in the wrong forum!

I heard a rumor that the probability of having twins skips a generation. For example: my grandparents had twins- my two uncles. This would mean (in theory) the higher probability would skip their generation and affect mine. I was wondering if any of you have heard about this. Is it true? Bogus?
Thanks

Its not always every second generation but most likely will be see my mum is a twin so that would mean its between my cousin my sister and myself who will most likely have twins but in my family its always been the oldest dont know how that works but it always has been like that so that would mean im most likely to have them. Well hope that helps
