Gallstones ? Please Help
Posted: 10-15-05 08:33am

Ive got a ultrasound scan next week which ive been painfully wiating 4 weeks for, I seem to have many of the (pre-diagnosed) gallston / gallbladder problems people talk about here. What concerns me is for the past 6 months ive been ill daily and my doctor still insists its indigestion(excess stomach acid)!!!!! I do find this hard to believe but I suppsoe I have to trust him, I waited 3 months for an endoscopy which was ok and a biopsy was taken and thats ok, blood tests showed clear too.

The doc tells me the ultrasound test will be clear too but I have to say I hope it shows gallstones then at least I know why im feeling this way for so long.

What I need is some advice as to what to try next if the ultrasound is clear because I will change doctor if I need to aas he said if its clear he will put me back on omeprazole for the stomach acid like I was on before which did me no good at all, so please any advice will be good on tests, diests, similar problems... .Thanks

Well I know I was told that it doenst have to be stones to cause problems. There can be something called sludge in your gb which can cause symptoms. Also you can have a gb that isnt working properly. If the ultrasound comes back normal, then maybe get a second opinion as the medication you were on before, was doing you no good. As for diet, avoid as much fat as possible, because that will set an attack off.
