Hi, ive had tmj for a few months now. It was really painful at first, although now is much better. Definately bareable anyway.
Theres still lots of popping and crunching noises on the left side when I open my mouth.

I have a small lump just ahead of my right ear where the tmj is and now also have tenderness right on the bottom corner of my jaw, I think thats the mandible.

These werent present in the first months of my symptoms.

Does anyone else have this, or know why?

Thanks
~sam

Tmj Lumps
Sam. First thing you need to do is to have it checked. I have severe tmj and severe chronic myofascial disease. I have small lumps along my jaw line and into the sids of my mouth called trigger points. You should research them but please get the lump checked. Trigger points are small and mine feel like very painful little dried up peas when touched.
