Also, i'm 16 years old, male, and my height is 5'7 and I notice that i'm not growing any higher this year, is this means that my growing is stopped?????? And why??
And will running help me grow?

Thank you very much!!!

Hi Gody
You worrie tooooo much ... You are in your teens still... You will grow untill your 20's and loosing weight.... If you feel like it yes I think a little bit of sports should help you, but like I said you are not done growing just yet. Wink

You will lose weight when your calories you take in, stop being more than the calories you burn.

Extremely eHealthy
Running will not make you grow, you may have stopped growing. Some people stop young (14 -15) others keep growing till their early 20's. What are your parents & grandparents heights, that will give you some idea of what range you'll end up in, but only a guide.

As to running 1 mile in 15 minutes a day. That could be a total waste if that burns say 500 calories & you burn another 1500 during the day(these are just numbers not any sort of factual guide!!) so a total of 2,000 but you eat 10,000 calories a day then you will gain weight!! But that won't help you grow either.

I think that 1 mile a day sounds like an excellent idea for you. You will notice it will get easier and easier and next you will start increasing easily to 1 mile and 1/4 and then 2 miles etc, and then eventually you will lose weight yes.

Good luck always!!

Ummmm i'm sixteen, well at least until this friday, but i'd say don't bother with the one mile just run for the fifteen minute, start slow then increase to a faster speed and when your getting close to done slow down. From my experience of running like heck at the end of the run doesn't help it just makes you faint when you stop to quickly...Sorta like when you get up to quick lol
