At what stage of blood sugar results should a type 2 diabetic be placed on medicine? A type 2 only using diet and exercise has overnight/fasting blood sugar of 130-150 in the mornings, 140-170 2 hours after meals, and 160-195 before bed. Should these numbers require medicine?
