Hi folks I am new to the board. I am living in the north west uk.
I have had trigeminal neuralgia this very paining condition now for 6 years. And more recent for three weeks had which I thought was a tummy bug.
I had to see and emergency gp at the weekend whom examined me and said she thought I may have an ulcer !!
The pain is awful as if I am not in enough pain with my tn.
It is all under my sternum, central and burns on and off and is made worse by eating, also the stomache pains driving me mad.
I have been given meds to treat the suspcted ulcer, today I went to see my own gp whom told me that my urine had white cells showing in it.
So yet another medication.
I am still in a tremendous amount of pain and it is not going anyone got any ideas on what I should do ???
Or do you have to give time for these ulcer meds to kick in !!!
I am at a loose end in so much discomfort and not able to eat. I do not feel sick or have as asked blood in the stools.
But it feels like something is going on in my stomache and I am the last to be told and its my stomache.
I guess so many feel this way.
Thanks for reading this any help appreciated. Or advice.

Thanks for the reply.
I was given a stomache protecter capsule 40mg to take am 1 per day and the usual aniseed like gaviscon as and when required.
Although I do suffer from ibs, I know is is not the same pattern.
I have been suffering with ibs for over 16 years so I do know the symtoms and pains [nasty].
It has only just calmed down and it has been awful the pains have been excrutiating !!
I`m no stranger to pain. So I got really worried with this.
You kind of get to feeling like a hyprecondriac at times or think that is what others may see you as. I have been under a great deal of stress as I look aftre my husbnd whom is ill with angiokeratoma a rare cancer so maybe the stress is the pre-cursor.
I do hope that I do not have this again but will look up about what you have suggested.

Thanks once again.
