Something happened to my knee this morning. I do not believe it to be a full knee dislocation, but I am not sure what happened, so I will describe as best I can.

First, I should note that I have a relevant medical condition. My hip bone is slightly deformed. My right leg connects higher than my left leg. I had surgery when I was a kid on my left knee to close a growth plate and reduce the descrepency. I am sure this causes some alignment issues throughout.

Now to this morning. I was sitting on a chair, putting on my boots. I had my right knee up and out, and my right tibia at an angle...Slipping my foot into my boot. All of a sudden something moved. It felt like my tibia slipped out of the joint (slipped to the right) , then repositioned itself. It was a painful and scary feeling. The rest of the morning the leg/knee felt "shaky" but no pain. I do not have any discoloration or swelling. So I know it wasn't a full dislocation. But what happened? It was odd enough that I have to know, but not bad enough that I need to go to the Dr. Thanks for the help.
