Hello everyone!


I am posting this to see if there is anyone else like me that has a chld that suffers from febrile seizures. My son is 7 and a half years old right now. His firs febrile seizure was at 18 months. Since the first seizure, he has had about 6 or 7 more seizures and was put on phenobarbital at age 3. He did really well on phenobarbital and was taken off the meds at age 5. He was off the meds for 2 years and seizure free until this past weekend when he was sick with a fever and had another seizure. The doctors said he was kind of old to be having febrile seizures at this age but that it still can happen. I am very upset and worried and would like to talk to other parents dealing with the same issues. Thanks you for any advice or information.
