Q: Need Information On Symptoms of Cirrhosis Stages

My husband was diagnosed with cirrhosis last week. He is a heavy drinker and does not seem as if he has any intention of quitting. I want to find out how long I have to get things in order so that I will not be caught unable to take care of my children when he is gone. I have not been able to find any information on what symptoms show up at what stage of the disease (just symptoms for the disease in general) or a ball-park life expectancy for someone with specific symptoms who continues to drink. Does anyone know where I can find this type of information on the web?

stages of cirhossis

I was diagnosed with cirhossis nearly 5 years ago, they told me then I was stage 4 which is the last stage before you are considered for a transplant. Dont write him off just yet. You can google it by puting in stages of liver cirhossis and you will get lots of information. He will eventually give up the booze when he gets too ill. Good luck
