Had a strange experience about a month ago. Started with hoarseness, but not sore throat. A few days later, the muscles in my throat kept seeming to close off in the middle of a swallow (not when eating food or drinking). It was like my swallow was getting caught half way down my throat. I had to concentrate on making the muscles in my throat finish the swallowing motion, all the time with air flow being closed off. This lasted a few weeks. It felt like there was mucus or some swelling at the back of my throat. Went to gp who told me to start taking allerga again and started me on advair (i also have asthma). These along with ventolin cleared things up in a few weeks. Is it all asthma related?
