My sister used it and got pregnant with it. What it does is induce ovulation in women who don't necessarily ovulate each month. Usually start taking it on day 5 (day 1 being first day of period) and take it once a day for 5 days....But follow your doc's instructions on how to take it. Have sex every day once you are done the medication for at least a week to make sure there is lots of sperm waiting for a released egg. Good luck and have fun trying!! Hi there, I used clomid to concieve my daughter age 3. I was on 50mg for 3mths, my dose was upped to 100mg & within 6mths I had fallen.
I was put back onto 50mg 6mths ago-nothing.I have recently just had my ovaries drilled to release eggs & when my next cycle starts will be back on 100mg of clomid.
Lesliepei is right - take on 5th day of cycle for 5 days.
You may get some side effects- bloating, headaches,mood swings but nothing to worry about, also try to take it at the same time - I take mine of a night just incase of side effects. - hope this has helped you- goodluck.
