Hello,

i'm new to the forum, and I just had a question that nobody I know seems to be able to answer...

I just started the pill alesse today and so did my period. I wanted to know if the pill can stop my period within the first 24 hours? If not, is there a way that I can? I am going to see my boyfriend this weekend, and I have been preparing myself for this for a while. I've never had sex, and I was sure that my period wasn't going to com until next week, and I won't be able to see my boyfriend for another 3 months after this...Please help!!!

Thanks

k.A.

No, I don't know if the pill will end your period. The material is built up in your uterus, and whatever is they has to come out. And it probably won't happen withing 24 hours.

People do still have sex while on their periods... Never done it myself (ick!) but anal is another option (yay)... However since you're a virgin, i'm betting you weren't intending your first sexual encounter to be anal!!

I don't think there is any way to stop your period, unfortunately.

But there are other ways to be intimate with your boyfriend. But if you aren't going to see him again for three months anyway, maybe this isn't the best time to start having sex with him? It probably seems very important to you now, but maybe it will strengthen your relationship to wait until you can be together properly?

If you haven't had sex before why not wait until you're married. You obtain something very special, most young women no longer have...your virginity. I too was looking for a way to put off my cycle and came across your post. Most ladies wish they would have waited, as every man wants to be your first. Trust me, you have something people can't even purchase as most women give that up at young ages. Let nature take its course in your body, and hold sacred that which you have saved for so long. Good luck

Yes if you take the pill (not the sugar tabs) right away your period should finish within 48-72hours. And then will resume as normal when the pill reaches the 7day sugar tabs.

Her question is about her period's not your beliefs on when and why she should have sex.
