Hello, I am a 25 year old mother of two, it's my first time posting on here, so hello to everyone. :) I was just hoping to get information from any other women out there who are suffering from uterine or other type of prolapse. I had my son at 17, a vaginal delivery, and he was a rather large baby, which my doctor said led to my uterine prolapse. I had one surgery a year after his birth which was supposed to have corrected it (laproscopic) but 6 years later after becoming pregnant with my daughter, the prolapse returned and was much more severe. (for the first 4 months of my pregnancy my cervix was protruding from my vagina, then the uterus became large enough to be supported by my pelvis and the prolapse went away) after giving birth to her, (she was also a large baby, larger than my son, also a vaginal delivery) the prolapse seemed gone, but after having a severe cough for the past few weeks due to a bad cold, I am feeling that same pressure and feeling of fullness "down there." my cervix seems to be far enough up, but part of my vaginal wall is bulging out and partially protruding, and I have been wondering if something else is now prolapsing, perhaps a rectocele? Because I do have some of the symptoms of that, such as the bulging of the vaginal wall and difficulty completing bms. It is just so depressing to be having these problems at such a young age!!! The last time I was seen by a specialist for this (the surgeon who performed my first surgery) I was told I would eventually need another surgery and probably a hysterectomy, therefore he thought I should wait until I am done with my childbearing years. Well, I am thinking I pretty much have to be considering this problem. I am very depressed and scared. I was just hoping to get some input from others who have similar issues or possibly advice!!! Thanks for reading if you got this far!!
