Q: Going Without Sex/masturbation

I'm 18. For the past years, i've been masturbating on average probably over once a day. 1 point something, that is. I'm still a virgin, by the way. I was wondering, what would happen if I gave up masturbation?

Would it have any consequences for my "equipment" if I were to give up masturbation for a month? How about six months? Or a year?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Just Do It!
Try to stop doing it. But if u can. (that ll probably require u to live in a cave for a year. Because whenever u watch tv or kind of thing, or walk on the street u ll be forced to do it...Physically, mentally, psychologically...

why try to stop doing it? It is a perfectly normal healthy activity.

Itna, in regards to your questions, ejaculation atleast once every two weeks is very important in keeping your prostate healthy. Beucase of your age, you are pretty unlikely to have wet dreams and being a virgin, you would not be ejaculating. Masturbation is perfectl fine, if you feel your doing it to much, just cut back a little; do what you feel is right for you.

A break is not going to kill you. Just make sure you do a minimum of once every 2 weeks like the previous poster said. There is not really a "too much", but I suggest you to do it only when you really want to and not just because you're bored or whatever.

Thank you.

After reading your comments about the prostate I think i'll masturbate once a week instead of not doing it at all.

i didnt mean that itna or whoever must stop doing it. I just meant that stopping it is nearly impossible (at least for me) once u started. If there is anybody around who achieved that, plz inform us how did u achieve. I also want to give it a try. But dont say being getting married, because it is totally normal stopping masturbating alone in this case. Your partner ll do that for u :)

and I also agree with the time limitation s-kalb did. The general one, not when u get bored but if a real deep desire comes.
