Q: Fever 2 Weeks Post Op

Had tah two weeks ago. Guess things went well. (large fibroid pressing on bladder necessitated week long foley catheter. Ouch!), but otherwise o.K until I noticed an inch and a half long bulge over the top of the incision. Everything healing up great, except in area of bluge. Hurt to stand up, walk. Only felt good lying on back. Thought it might be hernia. (forgot for a minute and stupidly pulled out very heavy dining room chair a few days after getting home from hospital.) dumb. Anyways, Dr. Didn't think it was anything but sent me for pelvic cat scan with barium and contrast yesterday. Oh my god!! That stuff is horrible!! My guts are killing me! Can't wait until it is out of me, (if it ever gets out). Well, last night, (about 10 hours after cat/barium/dye), woke up with chills and horrible headache/burning behind eyes. Took temp. 99.9 have not had a fever up to this point. Called radiology dept. They said cat/barium/dye had nothing to do with this. Could the bulge be an abcess? It has gotten less painful in the last few hours, (of course, after I did all that!!!! Figures!!), but that's about the same time this feaver cropped up.

Fever Two Wks Post Op
I really feel for you, and wish I had better advice to give than what I am about to share. I am two weeks post op with fever, can barely sit constantly have to urinate or have bm, was discharged 24hrs after surgery, and the physicians could care less. I am in the process of having to move due to sale of home and separation, and raise two boys. My heart and pain are with you :(

Did you ever find an answer to this? I have nearly the exact same thing right now.
