I have what appears to be a white patch above my top tooth. I can scrape it off and it is normal underneath it is not sor when I do this but the tooth becomes sensitive and the gum around the tooth becomes painful when touched. Has any one got any suggestions what this could be b4 I start thinking the worst please!!!!!

I know its not thrush as this is a small patch and only above the one tooth.
