Necrozoospermia -"dead" Sperm
Posted: 10-04-05 07:51am

Have any of you guys or girls ever heard of necrozoospermia? Apparently it is "dead" sperm. The sperm is alive in the body until it is ejaculated. It then appears "dead" in the cervix however is still fertile. The problem with this type of male infertility is that because the sperm appear "dead" they do not travel up the tubes to the egg(s).

Has anyone suffered from this infertility? Any suggestions on how to treat this problem. I know that I should drink 8 glasses or more of water a day to help. Is there anything else.

My wife and I have been trying to get pregnant for two years this month. We are have nothing but problems, just when everything seems to be going okay another problem happens. Any suggestions or support would be great. We are seeing a specialist now.

Thank you for your kind words of support. I am going to go have another semen analysis done on thursday to see if maybe it is something else. Hopefully we will be able to fix this problem.

Hello. Just as of today my Husband and I have been diagonosed with this same problem you are describing. My husband will be going to see a Specialist and find out what is the next step of hopefully treating our problems of infertility. Hopefully we will find treatment for it. We have been trying to be pregnant for over two years. I had a miscarriage and no luck ever since. At least it is starting to get ruled down to what is wrong. Tonight, I am trying to find answers or ideas of what to do about this problem now. That is how I came to this website. I found your posting and wanted to reply. I have found out so far that vitamins could help, limiting amounts of caffiene beverages (pop, coffee), and drinking water would help the male. There is medication that could be prescibed.
