Hi,

i started using the nuvaring about 8 months ago after my bc pills failed. Its been okay, but I tend to be more irregular when I am on any kind of birth control. Here is my current worry. About 2 weeks ago I had my yearly pap appointment and I forgot to take out the nuvaring. The dr said she may be able to work around it, but she wasn't, so she took it out and before I was able to say anything, she threw it in the hazardous waste basket! The ring was still goog at that point for 2 weeks. I forgot to ask her what to do, so I went and filled my prescription and put the new one in. I took the new one out according to the original ring, or 2 weeks later. I was supposed to get my period on sat or sun, but I still haven't gotten it and it is now monday and my periods are usually early rather than late. Did putting the new nuvaring in for only 2 weeks screw up my cycle? Should I worried about being pregnant? I am pretty good when it comes to using the ring correctly..

Thanks,

laura
