Erectile Disfunction And Cererberal Palsey Posted: 12-03-03 02:37am
Help , I am dating the kindest sweetest
man I have ever known, we are both 30
years old. He has cereberal palsey , not
bad just a slight limp when he walks. The
cp has caused some damage to his lower
back, we have become sexually active and I
have noticed that he is able to get an
erection but is not able to keep it. The
few times he has been able to keep it he
rarley ejaculates. Sometimes he does
sometimes he doesnt. Oral sex doesnt even
seem to stimulate him to ejaculation. I
am so frustrated I feel like im not
turning him on ... He assures me its not
me ..... Maybe its him.. I guess my
question is ..............Do you think the
cereberal palsey could be effecting the
stimulation he feels or doesnt feel during
sex? I have tried to find info on this
subject but have had no luck. I love this
man intensly I just wonder if I will spend
the rest of my life never being sexually
satisfied?Or what the options are for this
situation thank you

Both conditions have vascular causes that
progress in the whole
body. Therefore, erectile dysfunction is
just a symptom of a very
serious health issue (congenital arterial
and heart abnormalities)
that doctors cannot treat yet and
therefore ignore it.
If you love him, stay with him regardless
of the his deteriorating health
situation. Erectile dysfunction is one of
his smallest problems.

Yes, it is possible for that to be a
cause, but not always.
A lot of it can be just stress, so don't
just assume that it is a really serious
problem.

There Is No Such Thing As Stress Or Anxiety. Posted: 09-16-04 07:56am
The actual thing is called endothelial
dysfunction that is a vascular
change (degradation) which doesn't allow
the body to grow new
vessels inside your body to repair the
tissue and oxygenate
properly the body for continuous
sustenance.
Only angiogenic gene therapy (now in
clinical trials) if performed
on the very young can save these patients
on long term.

Try talking to a doctor who is familiar
with cerebral palsy. It is a neurological
condition that usually occurs at birth due
to lack of oxygen or during pregnancy. If
he is not able to control certain
muscles,it is very possible that this is
also part of his disease. There is a cp
forum on this site, maybe someone there can
give you more info or has insight on
this.If he is the sweetest, kindest guy
you've ever met, that is a hard thing to
find.Try to find out as much as you can
about his illness and how you can enhance
your intimate relationship.There are many
ways to show your love for each other,it
does not always have to be sexual.Good
luck to both of you.Patty
