Q: Back Pain And Numbness Advice

Hi all, I wonder if anyone can help me. My father has been suffering with lower back pain for the best part of 25 years, and it was found years ago that he had 2 damaged discs in his back via a mri scan he had, and also they found he had 2 fused collar bones which he was born with, which gives him neck and shoulder pain, as well as arithius (spelling).

Anyway, we go to a car boot sale which is in a farmers field, and it a little uneven and walks around about an hour or so slowly, as he finds he is better out and about, than staying in.

The last few weeks, and today after he comes back and he relaxes for a while in a chair, when he goes to get up he gets a numbness in his legs, and today in his arms. When he gets up and moves about, the feeling comes back and his muscles like shake a little, which sounds like a trapped nerve or nerves to me.

If he walks on normal ground like pavements, he get no problem, only on sunday after walking around the field. Could he be causing his back to suffer inflammation from the uneven ground, and when he relaxes it presses on his nerves, giving him this condition, as he don't suffer after he don't, until the next week we go.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Tony
