Hi wendi! Please get some professional
help before it really hurts you and the
ones that really love you! Believe me,
you are not alone here!

Hello Wendy Posted: 10-02-05 07:48am
I can definitely relate. Don't have any
other bad habits, no smoking, drugs,
alcohol. Work full time. I read dr
phils book and it has helped a little. I
think it boils down to caring enough about
oneself to do what is best for oneself
which is eating sensibly. Guess i'm not
there yet, but i'll keep trying.

Welcome, and hope you find the support you
need here.
I'm going to offer you a challenge my last
therapist used on me (didn't believe her
at the time). You say you can't afford
to get help, however you put the money
into the food and/or behaviour.
Personally, i've come to a place where if
I feel that something is important to me
and my recovery - it is a priority - and
hence, I will find the money somewhere.
I don't have a well paid job. Some
therapists operate on a sliding scale -
there is help out there if you want it.
I know someone who only pays her therapist
e7, despite the fact their fee is e60.
She managed to get it funded by social
services. When there is a will, there is
a way. The person who pays the above
fee, finds that a struggle, as she isn't
in full-time emplyment.
