I actually feel kind of stupid posting here because I don't have a bad ed like most of you but I don't know where else to turn. I had a baby 2 1/2 months ago and I can't stand the way my body looks now. I get so depressed everytime I look in a mirror or look down at my flabby stomach...It's so nasty and I just want to scream!! I'm getting to the point where I think that being aner. Or beli. Woulld be easeir then having this awful depression when it comes to my weight. I'm 5'6 168lbs. I don't even enjoy sex with my husband anymore becasue i'm so self con. About the way my body looks. The worst part is, I know that I can lose the weight, it's just I don't have the will power..And I don't know how to get it!!! Can anyone help me?? I don't want to end up with a ed...I just want to go on some kind of diet or soemthing and lose weight and look like I did before I got pregnant with my son. Please help.

Hello, you could maybe start by taking walks even if it's only for 15 mins everyday with or without your baby.If you feel that you could walk longer keep at it..It will pay off . Good luck :)

There are easier and healthier ways to lose weight rather than starving yourself or going on way out diets. Just start eating a little healthier (if your not sure then go to the library and get some books on healthy eating) don't go on crash diets they will only make you feel worse and a bit a excercise will work wonders, start off small, go for a 10 min walk every day, then when your comfortable with that make it a 20 min or even 15 min walk, once you have done this for a few weeks you don't feel right without going for your daily walk, I know this sounds stupid but you knida get addicted to it :)
if you still don't have the motivation to do it, find a friend and do it together that way yous can encourage each other.

Good luck, hang in there!

Thanks for the reply's guys!!! I need to really sit down and make up my own diet/execise plan and stick to it!!! I'v done that I don't know how many times and never stick to it. I also put it off...Like i'll say to mayself, okay tomorrow i'm going to start eating healthy and it's like it gives me an excuse to eat a bunch of unhealth junk food that day!!! That's so pathictic!!! I feel like I want to be anorexic....I mean, everytime I watcha movie on it or read a book on it or something i'm thinking in my head "i could do that...I could just not eat and then i'd be skinny. But I love food to much...I don't think I could ever be anorexic. I tried the bulimic thing serveral times but I just can't make myself throw up...I guess I don't gag very easily. I know it sounds like i'm complaning that I don't have an ed but i'm really not..I'm really lcky that I don't and I realize that more and more everytime I read the posts here. Okay, i'm going to do it....I'm going to lose weight and be healthy about it. I'm going to keep you guys posted on how it's going!!! Thanks for being here, listening and responding!!

Hey just before you start making up a diet plan just want to tell you a few things first. I have been to see a dietation and what she told me was so true because she showed me people who were eating what she told them to eat and they actually had lost weight.
She told me that in order to keep your metabolism at a good rate you should eat every 3 hours. She said you can have a big breakfast because in the morning your body has no engry as it has all be used up during the time you sleep, regenerating your skin, hair, eyes etc so your body needs basic fuel to get through the day, so you can have a big breakfast.
Then have a lunch and a dinner but between that every 3 hours you should eat, it can be fruit or nuts or something healthy and drink plenty of water.
That way your metabolism speeds up, you burn more cals at a faster weight and you lose weight a healthy way. Also some light exercise is ok but you have just had a baby so I think walking would be fine or even swiming but try not to put your body under too much pressure because it has been through alot already.
With this eating plan you will have a lot of engry as well which will help you get through the day with coping with a young baby.
When you do feel low in yourself it does affect alot of things and if you could explain to your husband that you are feeling down because of the weight you gained when you were pregant and maybe the two of you could do somthing together.
Like the two of you could go for a walk togehter and catch up on both of your days because people tend to forget about the marrage once a baby comes along so to get to know one another as mother and father is good but its also important that you don't forget about yourselves as well.
Take time out for the both of you and walking would be a good idea because you would feel healtier and happy and you would be having time with your husband.

I hope that helps. Let us know how you are doing.

Take care!
