Rep Tom Cambell MRSA LAW
Washington State Rep. Tom Campbell is sheparding a bill 1123, hopefully signed into law this year. Although this bill has been changed to a less compulsory and more voluntary flavor, it is still a step in the right direction.

North Carolina

The Joint Study Committee on Hospital Infection Control and Disclosure recommends
implementation of a mandatory, State-operated, Statewide hospital acquired infection
4
surveillance and reporting system.

My remark " HA MRSA AWARENESS is paramount before the issue can be truely addressed and remedied.

Statistics state 52 people died today from MRSA or as a contributing condition.

staph
About 2 weeks ago i went to my regular doctor for a rash that was on my buttocks right around where i would shave from my leg, he told me he thought that it was a fungal infection and gave me cream for it, then a few days later the rash started to spread and the cream was obviously not working, my boyfriend also developed the same rash only his was less severe. After i shaved my legs and i guess went over the infected area, my legs started showing signs of the same rash and now it is on the back of my legs and all over them. I went to the dermatologist three days ago and he took a culture and gave me doryx and told me to wash my body with hiboclens and to put neosporin in my nose. I called back for the culture results today and she told me that it was a staph infection. All that they told me to do was to keep doing what i'm doing and i'll be fine. I'm scared because I haven't really seen any results yet and just want this thing to go away! How long does this process usually take?

cam99, thats probably a yeast infection. you should see your gynecologist or get a home kit to help it go away.
On the other hand
I have had a staph infection on my left knee/thigh. A bump appeared a month and a half ago and I thought it to be just a spider or mosquito bite. I found myself not able to sleep at night and I would wake myself up crying due to the pain of the sheets rubbing against my skin. I went to the doctor and she didn't say it was staph, she said it was just an infection and I went on the antibiotic Bactrim.
Here, 3 weeks later after that one was scarring over, another bump pops up a little bit above it. I went to urgent care, she numbed it, drained it, and prescribed me to Bactrim again. I am now sitting miserably with flu like symptoms that have made me miserable due to this staph infection. They're serious, and can be deadly if it's MRSA, so if you think you have a similar case go to your doctor IMMEDIATELY to get on proper antibiotics.
