Q: Hot Flashes And Menopause Symptoms

I am 48, last year I had a complete hysterectomy done because of uterus bleeding (cysts) and endometriosis, I never could become pregnant.
10 years ago I had flebitis and was told I could never take any type of hormones.
What can I take now that I have entered menopause and have been suffering its symptons since the hysterectomy?

Thank you, cecilia

I am no Dr. But you should have went through menopause when you had your complete hysterectomy. If I were you, I would check with your Dr.
Good luck!

Hi, I found a hrt alternative which is really natural. It is a hrt bread and it really helped me. I was on pills before and I had a lot of side effects but this is all natural and has relieved so many of the symptoms. Someone is selling it on ebay called the hrt alternative bread. Check it out. I hope my advice helps you - menopause can be such an awful time.

Hot flashes and night sweats
I have tried every alternative treatment out there that can afford and am not able to see a Dr because of no insurance and not enough $$ for a check up let alone treatments. I wont use HRT unless it is bio identical HRT. But I cannot afford to see a Dr. One appointment is over $150.00 in my area. Really high priced medical care here. (That is sooo wrong not to mention greedy.)
My hot flashed started at age 51 and I'm now 54 going on 55. They are not getting better. You name it, I tried it. Progesterone Creams , suppliments like Estroven..including soy, red clover, Flax sead oil....so many other things also.
I'm going crazy here. There must be some way to feel better. I'm still on all these things and have been for a few years with no success. I keep hoping they will kick in if I keep with it.
Some body please help me!
My mother never had hot flashes and neither did my step mom. And they both smoked tobacco and drank coffee! How could they be so lucky? They, neither one, used hormones. My Step mom even had a total Hysterectomy. They gave her hormones but she dumped them down the sink after 2 weeks. She never got hot flashes or night sweats like me. I wish I knew what do do.
