I would like any information regarding the linking of dental problems to heart attacks. My father in law recently passed away from a heart attack and had suffered with dental problems for a number of years. My own father has had poor dental health and has had a heart attack. I am concerned with my father's health and want to get as much information regarding this issue as possible.

Dental Health And Heart Attacks
My son has a heart condition and since so he has to take a antibotic a hour before any dental work is to be done. If a heart problem exists an infection from dental work can get into the blood and can cause serious problems. If there is any heart problems I would ask for an antibotic be given before going to the dentist. My son's doctor gave him a card I carry w/ him to the dentist.
