Q: Odds of Twins Being Stillborn

Someone I know has a girlfriend who is in her 30's. She claims to have been pregnant with twins several years ago and the twins were stillborn. She claims that they were strangled by the imbulical cord. If I remember my biology lessons ... Twins would each have their own cord. So the likelyhood of both being strangled by their own cord is so far remote it would be almost impossible. Am I right ?? Is she most likely lying ?

You are right about the cord it is nearly impossible but it can happen. You are concidered high risk when it comes to 2 or more babies, that is why your dr will keep a close eye on you than if you were carring a single. I delivered my children on fathers day (2006) paje and blake. I was 6 months along. Pre eclampsia also known as toxima took both of my beautiful children. There was nothing I did wrong, it just happened. What god takes away he gives back double. I just hope he gives us 1 healthy child!

Take care and good luck!
