I know I have mono too. And im trying to find out the same info. Six months....Like are you serious?!

Is there any way....It could like go away in 3-4 weeks?

Unfortunately it seems not. You are most contageous right before your symptoms start, but can be contageous to others for quite some time. If you are with people or a person who has had Mono before, don't worry about spreading it to them. They cannot get it after they have had it once. You become immune to it, like chicken pox. You can relapse into it, however, soon after if you dont take it easy for a while. You need to just take it easy for a few months.

Those are the dumbest things i've ever heard,
there is no way i'm going to go up to someone and say 'I had mono, have you had it? because if so.. I can kiss you now! but if not, i'm going to pass you on this virus that made me want to kill myself for atleast a week!' HAHA, very funny.

I'm sure it's not contageous for 6 months.. hwoever, you can never be sure without seeing a medical specialist. So instead of checking out these sites.. it would probably be a smart idea to go there as welll.

I know this is old and you r mono is well past gone, you most definitely have to wait six months. Yeah it seems pretty outrageous but it's the truth. I almost. Killed myself! In about a year or so the though relapsing can be let go from your mind. Yes, MONO sucks... REALLY SUCKS!
