Bbt Chart Doesn't Line Up With Lh Surge And Ovulation Pain Posted: 09-22-05 10:10am
Hello, I am having trouble making any
sense of my bbt chart- the big jump in
temp happened on cycle day 16. On day 16,
I was 96.6, then day 17 I was 97.2, and it
slowly goes up from there one point at a
time. So it looks like a successful
ovulation! However, I was also using
ovulation predictor kit, and detected the
lh surge on day 17 on the same day as the
jump in temp. Then I felt the ovulatory
pain on day 18, about 12 hours after the
lh surge. None of this is lining up
correctly on a timeline. Can anyone help
me understand this?

Did it jump up anymore after the 18th when
you had the pain? How is your cervical
mucus matching up? Is it slippery like
egg-whites on the 18th when you had the
cramps? I'd trust the mucus more than
the temp method for ttc. Once temp
increases, it is normally too late to
conceive. Hope this helps
