Q: Gastric By-pass Promblems Or Not?????

I had a gastric by-pass july 2003 and i've only lost 77 pounds. Prior to the surgery I was healthy. Now I have so many issues with mentrual cycles, dumping, stomach pains. How can you tell is these are related to the gastric by- pass or something new? For the last three days I have been having nothing but fluid leave my body. One day I spotted blood and for the last 2 days I have had a very bad case of diarrha and it's been every color but this morning it was shocking because it was a pale yellow. On top of that my stomach gurgles and rumbles. I know your saying well go to the docter. (no insurance right now) can anyone help?

Hi
I had gastric bypass surgery in august 05. I am doing fine, thanks to god but I am having problems with my intestines. Now I have had a pain the right side of the abdomen in just one place. It's a 3 to 5 pain (on a scale from 1 to 10).
In september 05 I was admitted to the hospital because I had excruciating pain on the left side of my abdomen. I had to have a morphine pump to take care of the pain. The doctor thought it was diverticulosis or a kidney stone. I had numerous tests and nothing was found (again).
I had a colonoscopy in january 05 and they found nothing (again). Before this surgery, I took the usual tests and they said that there was a chance that I have h-pylori. I will be going to a gastroenterologist to do some tests. I don't know where you live but can you get medicaid or medi-cal? You can go to the doctor because there are alot of places that you can see a doctor and they will not charge you. Please keep me posted please...You need to go to the doctor and don't procrastinate please....
Love,

I had bypass surgery in 2003 I have lost 101 lbs. I'm still fat at a weight of 250lbs. I have had five hernia repairs since the procedure. Recently I have started to experienced a lot of medical issues with my intestines. I have just recently had a colonoscopy. The results- siegmoidtitus and proctitus. (excuse the spelling) what ever that is. I have experinced blood in my stool and severe pain every time I have a bm.

I'm 37 yrs old and I feel like i'm 90 at times. I had very good health before the procedure other than obesity. It's difficult for me to have a normal relationship with my minor children and husband. I'm always cranky or tired. It's putting a strain on my marriage. My husband is very understanding. The doctors are very willing to give me lots of pain meds which I don't feel is helping the problem. No one has given me a concrete diagnosis, other than to tell me that my stomach is caused by adhesions.

Any thoughts?????
