This may sound like a silly question- but to a first time mom, I have no idea what it feels like.
I've read that I should be expecting the first of those braxton hicks contractions any time now (two days away from 21 weeks.)
i've felt all sorts of things ranging from kicks to gas.
I'm not sure whether i've had it yet. (duh!)

do you feel the contractions at the abdomen/ stomach area or do you feel it in the tailbone/ vaginal/ anal area?

I am 19 weeks and have been having bh contractions for abour 4 weeks now. When I have them my whole uterus gets hard as a rock and pushes it's self low in my abdomen. They don't hurt at all. Thy're sometime really annoying though. If you have a contraction and it hurts see you doctor asap. Bh contractions should never hurt.

Thanks Jennann
I guess I haven't had bh yet, it sounds like it feels quite different...... It sounds like it might hurt. I'm scared that it would harm the baby if it pushes low on to the abdomen. The baby would theoretically feel the pressure of being squashed.....
