Hey 2008 hope your doing better today. Try going to a chiro, if having someone pop your back helps a little, maybe someone who knows more about it will help even more. I can't speak for everyone, sometimes it helps, sometimetimes not. My chiro took away a "burning" pain that I had had for over 20 years caused from a back injury. Don't think they are quick fixes either, I was told 3 times a week for several weeks, he was right and it was worth it. Also, x-rays and a good diagnosis are always a good place to start. Good luck.

Hi-i am a massage therapist and have been working with two great chiropractors for the past two years. I think your problem could be associated with muscle spasms and misalignment in your spine (they usually go hand in hand). I would suggest no pain medication, due to the fact that it covers the problem instead of fixing it. Also adjustments can help your problem, if done by the right person. I wouldn't count on someone random person poping your back, that word alone scares even me. Chiroprators go through quite a lot of schooling to be able to do what they do. The relief you have been feeling though your poping, can be caused by endorfins releasing into your spine, but that doesn't mean you have aligned the right vertabre. You should seek a professional chiropractice opinion, and some chiropractors also use modalites which can consist of muscle stim, ultrasound, flexion distraction, ect... Also massage never hurts (only if you want it to). Don't give up on relief!!!
