My mother has been dealing with lung cancer for several years. She had reacurrence a couple years ago and was on irressa with good results. Now her doctor has taken her off due to increase in tumors growth. He will be repeating her cat scan in two weeks to see how quickly it is progressing. My father in law died a couple weeks ago from a ladder accident. Now my mother in law is ill. She has been dealing with pneumonia that doesn't seem to be resolving itself. She is a light sneaker smoker. She has a horrible cough, tiredness. Her x-ray shows infiltrate. I have urged my sister in law to push for a cat scan. Could infiltrate be lung cancer? She has dealt with bronchitis type symptoms for several years. Main symptom horrible cough and sputum.
