I've been on the nuvaring for about 6 months. Since going on it I have noticed an extreme pain in my lower abdomen, that lasts about a week, also sharp pains in my chest that happen ever so often. I have been getting extreme head aches and fever. Now i've been using birth control for years, first the ortho tri cyclen pill then the patch. Now I love being on the ring because of the ease of use. I have read that the problems I am having are very serious. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar and what their doctor has told them. I might have to just get off birth control and my husband will have to start wearing a condom. What about getting a diaphragm? Anyone tried that? I am going to be making an appointment with my doctor tomorrow, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
