Q: Very Strange Range of Symptoms...stress?

Im hoping someone with some stress experience could help me out and tell me what they think about what might be happening to me!

Ive had a range of really strange symptoms lately and ive been to quite a few doctors and alot have mentioned stress and anxiety could be the cause-im a little sceptical of attributing such serious symptoms to stress and im kind of confused as to what to think.

Ive had a strange tightness in my throat that makes breathing difficult and has been around for a few months.Feels sort of like someones strangling me.

The worst symptom has been a huge pressure in my head that isnt actually pain and is non responsive to painkillers. It makes me really vague and seems to come on far worse as of a nightime..(had ct scan which was fine)

ive also-only very recently-has a numbness around my whole facial area which doctors have said can be a symtpom of overbreathing.

Im not actually aware of any overbreathing or stress/panic attacks at all-i know that I do have stress in my life but feel like I handle it pretty well and I have no more stress than other people-its not like I have extra stress right now or anything.I have had periods years ago of extreme stress with my father passing away etc that I experienced none of these symptoms....

I was hoping someone could shed some light on if this sounds like stress/anxiety symptoms? What medications would be suitable to take for relief of the physical symptoms so I can get on with life?

Sorry to sound so to the point but I have rejected the idea of stress being to blame for these problems for so long that im finally starting to think that there is a chance that some sort of anti-stress medication could help me....Ive been to a psychologist to try and attempt some stress dealing mechanisms but found them really no help to the symptoms.

Hi i`m quite new to anxiety and stress but what I can tell you that yes it is totally possible to get all those symptoms. My panic started as I was so stressed at work and run down that I caught a viral infection. I then started worrying which led to the anxiety. I was so bad I was having full blown panic attacks, taken to the hospital on numerous occassions. Some of my symptoms were, unable to breathe properly, my hands went numb, I had no energy to walk after an attack, my hair was falling out, my head felt like it had this immense pressure and something was going to pop in my head ( my scans were also fine), the right side of my face would droop from the corner of my mouth and my eye had uncontrollable twitching, plus I felt so detached from myself.

You don`t realise what stress can do to your body, I have a majorly stressful job and I am positive this attributed to everything. Don`t worry though all your symptoms can be explained if you need anymore help please feel free to contact me. That goes for anyone who feels they`d like a chat!
