Hi :( my son (21) has just heard from the chemists that his bp is 14.9..Which is quite high for sb. His age.
He doesn't want to take time off his work, and only thru much persuasion has he agreed to have thurs. Off to go to doctors.
I wanted him to go to urgencies (it's nice and small - and not as gruesome as the hospital one!). But he's not going I fear. At least they could have put his mind at rest and prescribed him sth. Till his appt. At doctors' which is still 2 day's away....
He's tall, slim and the only thing I know is that he does eat macdonalds' meals occasionally, on a saturday.....But not always. And he also takes fads of eating choc. Biscuits..... But not every day.
We've told him to cut out coca - cola (sorry to the coke people !! He just loves it.....But the caffeine it contains can't be good to take too often.
He doesn't drink alcohol or smoke........And he's a good golfer....That's also his job........He's a caddy master at a club here.
Tonight he was rather red in the face (which is not due to the sun--------)
i am besides myself with worry, I have rather low blood´-pressure whereas his father has had bouts of slightly raised bp himself.
He's always been the one who never caught colds or had anything except your regular measles, etc. Etc.
He's insisting on going to the doctors' alone (which is fine - but he's being very stubborn about all this, and just doesn't want to miss his work as I think he thinks evythg. Will go wrong for the others if he's not there..He's in charge of a small group who do the same work as him, just going round the course seeing if everyone's dressed appropriately, if they're keeping any one back on the course, you know anything that could go wrong.......
I think there's a stress issue involved here, he doesn't seem to stop at his work either.......But there's no telling him.
Please give me some advice, talking about nice-looking healthy (otherwise) young lad with a nice life-style just starting for him.
I would appreciate any suggestions...
