Alright well last thursday my girlfriend and I went into planned parenthood and she got the shot (dpma). We talked with the women along time and made sure we got all the facts worked out. So heres the situaion. My girlfriend started her period last sunday night, we went in on thursday afternoon and she got the shot. The doctor told her that since it was only her 4th or so day and not the end of the 5th day of her period... That we would be able to have unprotected sex that day! Well I was kind of skepticle about this but I dont think they would lie. Well after she got the shot we were both pretty busy until saturday night... When we had unprotected sex and I ejaculated inside of her. Well its the next day now and im kinda nervous and so is she. Today she told me she was having some cramps and that really scared her but I dont think that has anything to do with it or could.

Please reassure me!

It is totally normal for you to be nervous!! Ecspically if this was the first time the two of you had sex without using a condom. The cramps she is experiencing is probably due to the birht control shot. I promise you that she wouldn't be having preg signs yet!!! Good luck and relax!!!

Birth Control
Not to worry. I would say that the cramps are from the birth control. I am on the birth control shot myself, and after my first shot I had really bad cramping too. I can honestly say that I don't think that the cramps are related to being pregnant. Hope this helps and good luck to you both.

My girlfriend was in the same situation, but she was not on her period when she got the shot, so we had to wait a week before having unprotected sex. Although it was more like 3 months before we had unprotected sex I still owrry sometimes now over a year later. I normally do not ejaculate inside her without a condom on. I just prefer the condom be on. Sometimes she asks why, and reassurse me the bc works, and I know it does but I dont know.

Anyways, she had the same kind of cramps. She actually said they were more painful than ever for the first month but since then she has gotten probably one period. Everynow and then I will get her to take a p test for my sake.. So I dont go instane.. But, the bc does work.
